The 104-ranked players will directly go into the singles draws alongside eight wildcard entries and 16 qualifiers

The Australian Open is around the corner, and the first Grand Slam of the year is scheduled to kick off from tomorrow in Melbourne with its qualifiers, while the seeded players receive byes. The top-ranked players enter the tournament automatically at the main draw stage, while the 104-ranked players will directly go into the singles draws alongside eight wildcard entries and 16 qualifiers. 

Top ATP and WTA tennis player rankings ahead of Australian Open 2026

The main draw of the tournament will begin on January 18 and will run until January 31 for women and February 1 for men. Ahead of the much awaited tournament, let us have a look at the top-seeded players in men's and women’s rankings.
