A formal on-court tribute followed, featuring highlights from his career, heartfelt messages from peers, and reunions with French contemporaries Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Richard Gasquet, and Gilles Simon, often called the "Four Musketeers."
Monfils, who has announced his retirement at the end of the 2026 season, has long been a fan favorite at the clay-court major, reaching the semifinals in 2008 and accumulating 40 main-draw wins here.
The tribute video highlighted his impact both on and off the court, with players praising his charisma, sportsmanship, and ability to entertain crowds worldwide.
