Zverev went on to praise Jannik Sinner as the best player in the world, while Sinner lifted the famous golden trophy amid warm applause. The Wimbledon official account quickly shared the clip on social media, perfectly capturing the respectful yet competitive spirit of the Championships.

After falling to defending champion Sinner in a thrilling four-set final on Centre Court, Zverev opened his runner-up speech with a playful dig. The French Open 2026 winner said in a post-match interview:

"Well, first of all, Jannik, I don't really like you anymore."

 The Italian World No. 1 had come from a set down to defeat the German 6-7(7), 7-6(2), 6-3, 6-4, securing his second consecutive Wimbledon title. The light-hearted exchange highlighted the strong camaraderie between the two players, who are known to be friends on the tour.
