The current relationship status of the global superstar and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is the talk of the town. Taylor has missed Chief's recent games as a spectator in the stadium, a practice she loves to do announcing their love and being vocal about it consistently. Taylor's absence from NFL games has sparked rumours of a potential breakup between the high-profile couple.

Taylor Replies

Amid the baseless rumours by mere her absence in the games Taylor dropped signs of a healthy relationship with NFL superstar clearing the air around it. Taylor dropped her Greatest collection of merchandise on Thursday, reportedly inspired by a line from her song 'The Alchemy', rumored to be about her NFL player boyfriend.

The song contains the lyrics: 'They said there was no chance trying to be the greatest in the league; where's the trophy? He just comes over to me,' which many interpret to be about Kelce.

The collection includes jumpers, sweatpants and more featuring her "The Tortured Poets Department" logo. The collection is in black, white, beige and grey colours. Adding to the replies to fans Travis had also dropped the merchandise on "National Boyfriend's Day" - October 3 slamming all the senseless rumours.

"The pair is ignoring online chatter about their relationship status. 'They’re choosing not to dwell on the noise, focussing instead on staying true to themselves and being happy,' the source shared, adding that Swift is making the most of her tour break until her Eras tour resumes on October 18. 'They simply shrug off the stories. They see it as just another example of the press lifting someone up only to tear them down," An insider told US Weekly.

Critics Blaming Taylor for Travis's poor performance

According to the NFL critics 'The Taylor Swift Factor' has been a double-edged sword for Travis. While the superstar has been gaining popularity and their love story has been the talk of the town , his game has been severely affected due to the same. According to Celebrity Net Worth, he is now valued at approximately $90 million. His endorsements with major brands like McDonald’s, Papa John’s, Nike, and Dick’s Sporting Goods contribute significantly to his income. Additionally, Kelce and his brother, Jason, co-host the popular podcast "New Heights," which recently secured a lucrative three-year, $100 million deal with Amazon’s Wondery.

Critics are attributing his lackluster statistics to his high-profile relationship with Taylor Swift. On the September 23 episode of "The Ryen Russillo Podcast," former ESPN analyst Todd McShay pointedly suggested that Kelce's recent surge in fame and his "jet-setting" lifestyle could be contributing factors to his struggles.

McShay remarked, “Every show I watch, every pregame show, halftime show, postgame show, weekday show, every broadcast I watch for the last few weeks, it’s like, are we not allowed to say that he’s out of shape? That he’s been partying all offseason? He’s been jet-setting around with the most famous person probably in the entire world,” referring to Kelce's relationship with Swift, which became public in September 2023.

He also recalled Kelce's recent weekend in New York City, where he was seen “drinking” and enjoying the U.S. Open after the Chiefs’ Thursday Night Football game against the Baltimore Ravens on September 5. “I want you to take a picture from preseason 2022 and then take a picture preseason 2024, they’re barely the same human being," McShay added.
