Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen delighted his fans by revealing his engagement to actress and singer Hailee Steinfeld on Instagram. In a heartfelt post shared on Friday, the NFL star celebrated a major personal milestone off the field as he proposed to Steinfeld, marking an exciting new chapter in their relationship. The couple shared the joyous occasion with their followers by posting a beautiful photo from the proposal, spreading happiness and excitement across social media. But some comments took everyone's attention be it Hailee's co star or Josh Allen both were seen unhappy after couple's post.

Over the weekend, actor Shameik Moore, known for voicing Miles Morales in the Spider-Verse films, found himself in the middle of a social media storm after Hailee Steinfeld revealed her engagement to Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen. Moore took to X (formerly Twitter), posting a reflective message that led fans to speculate he was responding to Steinfeld’s engagement.

Moore’s Initial Post and the Internet’s Reaction

In his post, Moore wrote, “There’s still more people to meet. More opportunities to come. And more chances to try.” The internet quickly interpreted this as a disappointed reaction to Steinfeld’s engagement, which sparked widespread conversations online. Fans started to speculate that Moore was feeling upset or left out, and the post went viral, drawing attention to the actor’s apparent reaction.

 Clarification and Backlash

After the post gained traction, Moore deleted it and attempted to clarify his intentions in a follow-up message. He explained that he was not aware of Steinfeld’s engagement at the time and that his words were simply a reflection on his personal goals for the future. However, despite his explanation, many online users were skeptical of his clarification.

Adding fuel to the fire, fans began resurfacing old press tour clips where Moore appeared to make Steinfeld uncomfortable by over-praising her. In some of the videos, Moore's admiration for Steinfeld seemed to cross into awkward territory, leading to further criticism online. A fan-edited video compilation of these moments added to the growing backlash, highlighting what some saw as an uncomfortable dynamic between the two.

Moore Addresses the Backlash at FAN EXPO San Francisco

At a FAN EXPO San Francisco panel, Moore directly addressed the controversy, admitting that the weekend had been challenging for him. He said, "It’s been a tough weekend, my brother. The internet’s been killing me, I’m sorry." He explained that his past comments about Steinfeld were simply a reflection of his excitement to collaborate with a talented castmate, especially since the actors had not worked closely together in the first Spider-Verse movie.

Moore further clarified, "In this industry, we often record lines separately. So, working more closely with Hailee on the second movie felt refreshing and collaborative." He dismissed the notion that his compliments were anything beyond professional admiration, emphasizing that some interviews had been taken out of context and misrepresented.

 Steinfeld and Allen Stay Unbothered

While Moore dealt with the internet's scrutiny, Steinfeld and Allen seemed unaffected by the drama. After the Buffalo Bills' decisive 35-10 victory over the San Francisco 49ers, Allen opened up about feeling “free” during the game, crediting his positive vibes to his recent engagement. Friends and family of the couple have also expressed excitement over the engagement, describing the pair as “head over heels” for each other.

The Drama Takes a New Turn: Brittany Williams Responds to Backlash

Amid the engagement news, Brittany Williams, Josh Allen’s ex-girlfriend, also found herself at the center of controversy after a harsh post aimed at Allen was shared from her Instagram account. The post referred to Allen as a “brain-dead CTE athlete,” which sparked backlash from his fans.

Williams quickly took to her Instagram Story, explaining that her account had been “hacked” and that she was working on resolving the situation.
