One of the most anticipated matchups of this season comes in Week 4 when Micah Parsons and the Green Bay Packers visit the Dallas Cowboys on the road at AT&T Stadium this Sunday night at 8:20 pm ET.
Parsons was traded to the Packers from the Cowboys in a blockbuster trade that sent the Packers interior defensive lineman Kenny Clark as well as two first-round draft picks. All summer, Parsons tried to quit the Cowboys, and failing to reach a new contract, he requested a trade that resulted in him going to Green Bay.
With the two sides set to face each other this weekend, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones made the match a little more interesting with some comments to the media Parsons at times struggling against the run, Jones signaled that the Cowboys will run it in his direction Sunday.
Jones said via 105.3 The Fan:
"I think the world of Micah. I might say I wish him well but it's obvious I don't this weekend in terms of Green Bay winning the ballgame. ... He's going to make some plays no matter how you play him, but when I saw (other teams) play us well with Micah in the game, and it did happen, then obviously we'll be looking to try to run those kinds of plays (against him)."
Who is likely to win Sunday's match between the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers?
Both the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers suffer Week 3 defeats Dallas enters Sunday's home match with a 1-2 record and third place in the NFC East, while the Packers enter the match with a 2-1 record, standing at a three-way tie in first position in the NFC North.
As of Tuesday afternoon, ESPN picks Packers to win, placing them as a 6.5 point favorite. Their moneyline odds are currently -320 to Dallas' +260. The Over/under line is set at 47.5 points currently.
Dallas is down a few key players this week, consisting of wide receiver CeeDee Lamb and 2025 first-round pick guard Tyler Booker. That could be a decisive factor in Green Bay being favorable road favorites.
A win for both teams is very important this Sunday, but it may be more important for Dallas, who could end up tied for last place with the New York Giants, if they emerge victorious.
