The Connecticut Sun star DiJonai Carrington recently shared a horrifying incident where she along with her friends allegedly escaped a kidnap by their Uber driver. It all started when the WNBA prodigy and her squad tried to play music which was denied by the driver. With one thing leading to another DiJonai and her friends were eventually ejected from the car and the driver asked them to pay the charge of the ride. However, the 26-year-old questioned him and then the driver threatened her to call the cops.

Later, the basketball sensation went live on her social media handle and confronted the driver while accusing him of getting away due to his 'White' privilege.

Carrington's terrifying Uber experience

The video of the incident was shared on X (formerly Twitter), where Carrington and her friends could be seen coming out of a black car while shouting at the driver. The driver was seen talking to their next cab driver in Arabic, and Carrington made fun of him as the new driver spoke Spanish and not Arabic.

"Oh, he turned his back on me. You guys, this stuff is crazy, and I had to really expose it in real time," Carrington said in the live video. "I don't know why white people think they can get away with trying to scare black people by only saying, 'Oh, I'm gonna call the police.' Ok, and we did nothing wrong, so that's fine. Go ahead and call the police," Carrington said.

"There he is ladies and gentlemen. Live and in the flesh for you to see. He tried to kidnap us and take us. Look, now he's trying to talk to our next Uber driver. Let's see how this goes," she added.

It was later determined that their next driver allowed them to play music and Carrington, and her friends enjoyed the rest of the night out in the city.

Even though DiJonai Carrington and her friends managed to avoid what could have been a terrifying ordeal had the cops been involved, it still stands as another unfortunate public transport incident involving sports personalities.
