Anthony Davis is marked questionable ahead of the Lakers' game against the Kings.

Anthony Davis exited the game against the Warriors with a discomfort in his ankle.

With Lebron James Rui Hachimura recovering from an illness and Jaxon Hayes sustaining an ankle strain, the Lakers locker room has been pervaded with immense health concerns for its players. Moreover, ahead of Saturday's game against the Sacramento Kings slated to be held at Crypto.com arena, the team's star forward Anthony Davis has also been marked questionable. AD exited the Lakers' Christmas Day meeting with the Warriors with a discomfort in his ankle and thus he may not feature tonight against the Kings.

Anthony Davis to miss tonight's game against Sacramento Kings

Lakers have looked out of sorts from the outset of the season and a 17-13 record, positioned 6th in the Western Conference table, is a grave reminder of the same. Irrespective, what comes as a bright point is how they have fared against the Kings in the previous three meetings. Should the key players miss out today, the onus from the Lakers' side would be on D'Angelo Russell. The Point Guard missed the last game due to a thumb injury but returned to training on Friday. He has been marked as probable ahead of the game against the Kings. However, as for Anthony Davis, his inclusion in tonight's game is unlikely.

Problems in Kings' dugout as well

After enduring five defeats in a row, the Sacramento Kings have pulled the plug on coach Mike Brown, sacking him mid-season. The sacking has left a position to be filled in the team. In the meantime, Kings legend Doug Christie will take over the coaching helm for the time being. Christie has been associated as an assistant with the team from 2021.

Sacramento Kings are currently at 12th in the Western table and haven't experienced a "W" in the last five games, which includes a frustrating loss against Detroit Pistons that saw Kings endure a 15-point deficit in the final quarter. Consistent losses called for an action to be taken but the decision has startled the NBA fraternity all over the world. Nevertheless, the struggle points out that the Sacramento Kings may need more than just a coach to fix issues on all ends.
