The Orlando Magic are all set to take on the defending NBA champions Boston Celtics in the Game 3 of the Playoffs on Friday, April 25 at the Kia Center. The main talking point from the Celtics point of view would be whether their star player Jayson Tatum features against the Magic or not.

Will Jayson Tatum play against Orlando Magic?

The 27-year-old power forward will be making a return to the court in Game 3 after being sidelined for the Game 2 against Orlando Magic. The Celtics shared their injury report ahead of the clash against Magic and have listed Tatum as doubtful. He is suffering from a right distal radius bone bruise, the same injury that kept him out of Game 2.

Coach Joe Mazzulla shared that Jayson Tatum cleared all the medical protocols and pushed himself to be available, but ultimately he was sidelined for Game 2. However, as the Game 3 approaches, there is hope that Tatum would be back on the court after his brief absence.

Yeah, there will definitely be a chance, Mazzulla said. Again, he's dealing with a severe bone bruise. He's day-to-day, and he's progressively gotten a little bit better each day.

Tatum's absence during Game 2 saw Celtics face the music and even gave Magic a real opportunity to secure a win on the road. However, that wasn't the case as Jaylen Brown delivered a standout performance as he notched up 36 point double-double to lead Celtics to victory.

With Jayson Tatum returning to the lineup, Boston Celtics would be more confident of securing at least one win in the upcoming two road games. If that happens, then Boston Celtics would be in great position to close out the series at home in Game 5.
