It was over the summer that the second-generation hooper, Kiyan Anthony, son of Carmelo Anthony declared Paul George as the Greatest of All Time. Kiyan hopes to follow in the footsteps of his dad, Carmelo. The comments from the 17-year-old surprised many National Basketball Association (NBA) fans as George neither won an NBA championship nor an MVP award.

What did Carmelo Anthony say about his son Kiyan training with Paul George?

Kiyan Anthony has his eyes set on the 2026 NBA draft where he hopes to get drafted and his father took the route to ask for his son's GOAT's help. In a video posted by Overtime, Kiyan is seen getting work in with none other than Paul George.

Paul George even elaborated in one of the clips that he isn't looking to teach Kiyan anything new but rather work on the skills that he already possesses. On top of it, Carmelo even got the chance to speak about his son Kiyan's training with George.

"Man we made it happen, big shout out to PG, he they favourite player so let's get them in the gym and really show them how to really work at that level," Carmelo said.

After the training session, Kiyan got to meet George during the episode of his father's '7PM In Brooklyn' podcast. Paul George appeared on the podcast as a special guest.

Kiyan Anthony on why he thinks Paul George is the GOAT

It was during this episode of the podcast that Kiyan made his point clear about why he thinks that Paul George is the GOAT. Lots of debates rather revolve around two names Michael Jordan and LeBron James as Kobe Bryant and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar are mentioned less, but Kiyan feels that George has a smoothness to his game that nobody can match.

"The smoothness that he plays with. I'm not the only person that be saying like that's my favourite player like Brandon Miller got a lot of heat for it when he first came in the league so just like the way he play like it don't matter about the win," Kiyan said.

"I like seeing him get a bucket. I feel like it's different than the way everybody else get a bucket," Kiyan concluded.
