LaMelo Ball is all set to be sidelined for the Charlotte Hornets' clash against the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday, February 5. Ball has been out of action since January 27 as he last featured against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Will LaMelo Ball feature against Milwaukee Bucks?
The other players alongside Ball who will miss the Hornets' clash against the Bucks are Tre Mann, Cody Martin, Brandon Miller, Josh Okogie and Grant Williams. With several players set to miss the clash against the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo and co. will be expected to secure an easy win on the road.
However, amid all the reports regarding Ball's injury status, some positive news is coming for the fans as according to the team's official update, the star guard has made progress and is back to on-court activity.
LaMelo Ball has continued to undergo treatment for his left ankle sprain. He has progressed to a return to on court activity and additional updates on his status will be provided as appropriate, @HornetsPR reported.
While Ball is set to miss his fifth game on the trot, the update hints that Ball will possibly make a return against the San Antonio Spurs on Friday in the team's nine-game homestand.
LaMelo Ball missed out on All-Star
LaMelo Ball has a career to remember as he averages 28.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game. He led the all-Eastern Conference guards in votes throughout the All-Star selection process but failed to make it on the Team East roster.
Grant Williams was one of the prominent names who expressed his shock at Ball's exclusion from the team. He even criticised the media and held them responsible for his omission.
Mind you, he won the fan vote, and not even the players said he was the 7th or 8th best; it was the media who did that. The only reason he's not a starter is because of the media vote, and that is even more crazy, Williams said.
As of now, Ball has not addressed the issue and if any injury happens to a player on the Team East, he will likely replace Adam Silver on the roster.
