The Indiana Fever are all set to take on Washington Mystics on Wednesday, May 28th at the CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore. The main talking point from the Fever camp would be whether their superstar Caitlin Clark start against Washington Mystics or not.

Will Caitlin Clark feature against Washington Mystics?

This will be the fifth match of Indiana Fever in the ongoing season. But, things are not looking good for them at the moment as Caitlin Clark's quad injury has cast shadows over her availability status for the clash on Wednesday. She has been listed on the team's injury report due to a left quadriceps strain and will be missing the game against Mystics.

Clark has been ruled out for at least two weeks due to her latest injury. The team have been handed a setback as they were hoping to build chemistry and momentum with their revamped roster. With the Rookie of the Year being absent from Wednesday's match, the pressure is now on the rest of the squad to step up and prevent their season from going off track.

Earlier, Indiana Fever coach Steph White was uncertain after the team's practice session about Clark travelling with the team for their clash against Washington Mystics. However, the team's official social media page later posted photos and videos of the players boarding the flight to Baltimore and Caitlin Clark was one of them.

Due to Clark being sidelined, White confirmed that veteran guard Sydney Colson will be replacing her in the squad. The two-time WNBA champion now has the duty of filling in for the absent Clark, who has been the shining light for the Fever offence in the first four games.

Caitlin Clark has had a great start to the season before sustaining her recent injury. In four games, she has averaged 19 points, 9.3 assists and 6.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 40.3% from the field, including 31.4% from 3-point range. She also has 1.3 steals and 1 block per game.
