Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White was not present on Friday as Aliyah Boston and co. prepared for a highly anticipated clash against Chicago Sky. The Indiana Fever are all set to face Angel Reese and co. at the United Center on Saturday. This will be the second time both the teams go head to head.
Will Stephanie White be present at courtside during Chicago Sky clash?
Stephanie White's presence for the clash against the Chicago Sky remains uncertain as she recently stepped away from the team due to personal reasons. According to Indiana reporter Chloe Peterson, White has not traveled to Chicago with the team on Friday afternoon.
If she is unavailable for the clash against Sky, then assistant coach Austin Kelly will act as head coach. The Fever's coaching staff also includes Karisma Christmas-Kelly and Briann January. Prior to the start of the season, White expressed that she is confident in her staff's ability to lead the team if she is not present at the courtside.
My staff is so good, and trusting in them that if I needed to be away for a period of time, it's status quo, White had said.
Stephanie White's absence could be a big blow for the Indiana Fever as their two star players are already sidelined for the clash against the Chicago Sky. Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham are out of the clash due to their own injury issues as the Fever are shorthand heading into the Saturday's clash.
