Indiana Fever's head coach Stephanie White said on Tuesday that Caitlin Clark's return to the court remains uncertain after her lingering groin issue that has made her miss more than 10 games this season.

Stephanie White provides latest update on Caitlin Clark's return

Stephanie White mentioned that Caitlin Clark met with another doctor on Tuesday and has traveled with the team to New York.

She saw another [doctor] one this morning, White told reporters. I have not spoken with the trainers yet in the time between shootarounds and the game. She did travel with the team.

The Indiana Fever were going up against defending champions New York Liberty on Tuesday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The New York Liberty defeated Fever 98-77 in the previous meeting before the All-Star break. Shortly after the game, Clark was downgraded to out due to a groin injury she suffered in the team's 85-77 win over the Connecticut Sun on July 15th.

After featuring in 46 games in her WNBA career, Clark has missed 11 games this season. The latest setback is her fourth in three months. She first missed the preseason opener on May 3 with quad tightness. She then suffered a different quad strain against Liberty on May 24. Clark was sidelined for over two weeks and even missed five games.

A left groin issue saw her miss another four games in the month of June, excluding the Commissioner's Cup title game on July 1. She returned to action on July 9 and now, she faces another injury.

WNBA analyst on Caitlin Clark and Indiana Fever

In ESPN's 'WNBA Countdown' on Tuesday, analyst Carolyn Peck gave her honest opinion on how Indiana Fever should deal with Caitlin Clark's injury.

Peck mentioned that Clark should be sidelined for the upcoming four games. The Indiana Fever's August schedule features four games on the road and it could be troublesome for someone who is dealing with an injury.

Indiana has enough to play without her to kinda hold steady in playoff position, Peck said. I can't tell you how important it is to be at home and to be able to rehab at your facility, so that you can be strong enough to finish the second half of August.

Because I think that if you give her time and you let her rest, then you give her an opportunity to make that run as Indiana gets going.

Indiana Fever will be taking on Las Vegas Aces on Thursday. After that, Fever will play two more games in July before they start their four game road trip in August.
