Embiid has been given a green light to suit up for the preseason finale, and the center will finally be able to see some action before the start of the 2025-26 regular season. As per a report by Chris Haynes of the NBA TV, the seven-time NBA All-Star will play the last exhibition game of the season which is scheduled against the Timberwolves.

Embiid was seen making single-legged fadeaway jumpers, using his left leg to push off and elevate recently. The 31-year-old underwent surgery in the offseason following lingering issues which he has been suffering from for the past few years. He was limited by multiple injuries and could only play in 19 games last season. He was then sidelined following an arthroscopic surgery on his left knee in April.

As per a report by PHLY's Kyle Neubeck, Embiid had returned to 5v5 activity but still needed to “check some boxes” before the player was ready to play in any game. This report by Neubeck came on October 8. Later, the player was captured showing some progress when he joined the Sixers team.

Embiid will finally be back in the game after a long time, and it is to be seen how the five-time member of the All-NBA Team will fit in the squad and if the former MVP can perform at his best level.
