Following a shocking loss to the Hornets on Wednesday, the Lakers will return to the action tonight against the Portland Trail Blazers. The game will take place at the Moda Center. Having recovered from the calf injury that he suffered back in December 2024; Luka Doncic has started to feature regularly for the Lakers. However, it seems he will take some time to get accustomed to the changed setup. Luka Doncic Injury Report

Luka Doncic was initially not listed in the injury report released by the LA Lakers ahead of the game against the Portland Trail Blazers. However, just a couple of hours before the start of the play the Slovenian and Jarred Vanderbilt were added in the list.

Jovan Buha of The Athletic reported that both Luka Doncic (left calf injury management) and Jarred Vanderbilt (right foot surgery management) will miss the game vs the Blazers.

Doncic has started his stint with the LA Lakers on a decent note, but since he carries the ability to score 30 points consistently, fans are seemingly not willing to wait on him to get into the right rhythm. Doncic scored 14 points, registered 11 rebounds, and 8 assists in his 33-minute appearance on the court.

As the Lakers lost the game by a margin of 3 points, Doncic became subjected to criticism. Without a doubt, the team and the fans expect more from Doncic, and considering he has just returned from a long injury, it may take some time for Luka to announce his arrival in the Purple and Gold. Considering the stature he carries; his standout performance is in the offing and may emanate soon.
