Shannon Sharpe Unloads On Luka Doncic

The star guard has a knack for engaging with the referees and often complains about the near misses. According to Shannon Sharpe, this tendency of the star guard puts his team at a disadvantage as while he is busy complaining the game continues, leaving the defense in sixes and sevens.

Highlighting it on Nightcap, Sharpe unloaded on Luka Doncic. He said, “Luka’s gotta stop this damn complaining, bro. It’s annoying as F.”  He wants Luka to accept that he won’t get a foul call on every plea. And while he argues with the ref, his team is left vulnerable with a five-on-four game going on. Sharpe wants LeBron James to follow the same strategy as well, but his issues aren’t as glaring as Luka’s.

Luka Doncic won't mind Sharpe's criticism as he himself wants to refrain from "complaining too much."

During a conversation with the Inside the NBA crew in 2021, Luka said, “This season has been long with the officials. I wasn’t myself this season. I’m complaining way too much, and I’ve gotta work on that. I just have to stay calm and not talk to them, I have to learn from that.”

While Luka Doncic has an issue to correct but the Lakers are in the much deeper pit right now. The team has lost four of its last five games and needs to eradicate the frailties to once again develop a winning run. They have the star power in the side, but the defense has been leaking considerably this season.
