A total of 68 teams compete in the 2025 Men's March Madness Basketball Tournament. Out of the 68 teams, 31 of them have earned automatic entry by winning their conference tournament. The SEC set an NCAA Tournament record with 14 teams selected. The Big Ten came in the second this season with eight.
