This marks the third consecutive season that Clarke’s campaign has been derailed by a major injury.

Injury history and setbacks for Memphis Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke

This latest injury to Brandon Clarke comes just over two years after he tore his left Achilles tendon. Due to his tear in the left Achilles, he was forced him to miss the rest of the 2023 season and almost all of the 2024 season. 

The persistent injury issues have certainly affected Clarke's career trajectory, as he has been unable to maintain a full, healthy season since his rookie year.

Brandon Clarke’s performance so far this season

Before the latest injury, Clarke had featured in 64 games during the 2025 season, In those matches, Clarke averages 8.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1 assist per game. 

This is marks the first time in his six-year long career that he has averaged less than 10 points per game, reflecting his reduced role this season. Clarke's playing time has also been limited to just 18.9 minutes per game, the lowest of his career.

According to the Grizzlies, Brandon Clarke sustained the PCL sprain during Wednesday’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers. In the first quarter of the game, Clarke fell and suffered the injury, ultimately leading to his season-ending diagnosis. The match ended in the favor of Blazers (115-99). 

Grizzlies' position in the Western Conference

Despite the loss of Clarke, the Grizzlies remain competitive in the Western Conference. With 11 games left in the regular season, Memphis holds a 43-28 record, placing them fifth in the standings, just one game behind the Denver Nuggets for the fourth spot.
