The Milwaukee Bucks are all set to host Indiana Pacers for Game 3 of the ongoing NBA Playoffs as the match will be held at Fiserv Forum. All eyes would be on star player Damian Lillard, whether he starts against the Pacers or not.
Will Damian Lillard play against Indiana Pacers?
The Milwaukee Bucks recently shared their injury report ahead of the Game 3 against the Pacers and thankfully, Damian Lillard's name was missing from the list. It further explains that the 34-year-old point guard will be staring the game against the Pacers.
Lillard took part in 58 regular season games this campaign before being diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis in his right calf. The life-threatening blood clot forced him to be out indefinitely.
It was expected that the point guard would be out for the remainder of the regular season, even missing the final month's action. In his absence, the Milwaukee Bucks had a 10-4 record and even secured the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference.
Lillard missed the Game 1 against the Pacers but before Game 2, he was listed as questionable. But, with time he has now been given the green signal to feature in Game 3 against the Pacers.
He last played an NBA game on March 18 and since then, he has only practiced for three times. It was pretty evident in his performance that he was not up to the mark as the Bucks suffered a 123-115 loss against the Pacers in Game 2. In that game, Lillard recorded 14 points, seven assists and three rebounds.
It felt pretty good given the fact that I haven’t played in so long. Jumping back into a playoff game, I’d say it felt pretty good. I felt pretty solid, Damian Lillard said in the postgame interview.
Currently, the seven game series is led by the Pacers 2-0 and if they win the third game, they would have an unassailable 3-0 lead. The only player that the Bucks have on the injury report is Tyler Smith, who is listed as questionable due to an ankle injury.
