The LA Lakers failed the survival test on Thursday and suffered yet another loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves to eventually crash out of the season. LeBron James Quotes Anthony Davis After Lakers' Elimination

It goes without saying that the Lakers missed the services of a Center throughout the season. Anthony Davis had urged the front office to act upon it but he only received his marching orders from the franchise. However, as the Lakers' season has collapsed and ended, LeBron James has reminisced the concerns shared by Davis back in January.

"My guy AD said what he needed, and then he was gone the following week," James laughed. "So, I got no comment. I put that uniform on every night, gave everything I had, and that's all that matters."

LeBron James Ready to Compromise for the Team

It wasn't like the front office had completely turned a blind eye to the requirements of the side. They tried to bring in shot-blocker Mark Williams but were forced to rescind the deal. But, with James making his dissatisfaction known, it is clear that he wanted the front office to do more.

LeBron James is open to opting out of his $52.6M player option for the 2025-26 season to potentially sign a more team-friendly deal. This move could allow the Lakers to make roster upgrades, particularly adding size on both the interior and perimeter to compete with more athletic Western Conference teams.
