Despite LeBron James and Luka Doncic contributing sizeable points, the Lakers have continued to struggle off late. Following a humiliating loss against the Bulls on Saturday, the Lakers have failed to return to winning ways on Monday. The side lost to the Orlando Magic with a scoreline of 106-118. The recent results have made it clear that the Lakers as a side is nowhere complete and requires more additions to have any chance of competing against sides like Oklahoma City Thunder and Boston Celtics for the championship.

LA Lakers Have Two Targets on the Radar
As the Los Angeles Lakers' frailties are visible, the management is looking forward to filling the gaps by bringing in ideal talents. As the Lakers' yearning is known, the speculations about who the franchise can rope in have been continuous. In the process, a new entry has emerged.
According to Dean Simon of the Sporting News, two potential targets have come in the fray. Portland Trail Blazers' Jerami Grant and Robert Williams. Both players could fill critical roles for the Lakers, providing scoring, defense, and playoff experience.
This trade if becomes reality could reap Lakers with a positive output. Jeremi Grant carries the prowess of efficient perimeter shooting. Robert Williams on the other hand will add to the defensive solidarity. Moreover, both the players gave relevant experience which could prove to be handy. Plus, both Williams (27) and Grant (31) have age on their side, which could push them as a long-term solution for the franchise.
However, to land both players, the Lakers would likely need to offer a package including, Rui Hachimura (forward), Jarred Vanderbilt (forward), Gabe Vincent (guard) and future first-round draft picks. Portland, in rebuilding mode, may prioritize young talent and draft assets, making this a plausible framework for a deal.
So, while both players have characteristics to offer, Reb Pelinka might have to pay a heavy cost to bring them on board.
