The addition of Jimmy Butler to the squad has reaped the Golden State Warriors' immediate results. Butler, who had a fallout with the Miami Heat, got traded to the Warriors in the final phase of the February 6 trade deadline. Since getting deployed as a Warrior, Jimmy Butler has featured in four games in the Golden Yellow and averaged 20-plus points in each game. Consequently, the Golden State won three out of the four games. Butler's inclusion in the GSW team has caused ripples in the NBA world and during the All-Star weekend, Denver Nuggets' star center Nikola Jokic also addressed the transfer.

Nikola Jokic Jokes About Jimmy Butler's Inclusion to the Golden State Warriors

The 3-time MVP expressed his thoughts on Golden State Warriors roping in Jimmy Butler but did not do so without cracking a joke first.

“If they need my opinion on Jimmy Butler and how he’s going to fit, then they’re in trouble,” Jokic joked. “Winner. He’s been to the finals a couple of times. Still has the hunger in him to win it. Especially to give them a different version of the Warriors. Definitely a great player who can help them.”

The Golden State Warriors are counting on Butler to improve their prospects in the season. So far the 6-time All-Star has delivered but it is still too early to attribute his inclusion to the side as a success. However, with Stephen Curry and Draymond Green present to provide consistent support to the forward, Butler is set to be a huge contributor for the Warriors. And should everything fall in place for the Warriors then they will emerge as the contenders for the season's title once again.

Can Golden State Warriors Win the Title? Draymond Green Says 'Yes'

During a live telecast at the 2025 All-Star game, Draymond Green boldly asserted that the Warriors are going to win the 2025 NBA championship.

“I think we were kinda heading in the wrong direction,” Green said. “Thinking we would figure it out and never figuring it out throughout the course of this year. And since he’s been here, we’ve walked into every game thinking and believing that we’re going to win that game…He’s brought back that belief. And I think we’re going to win the championship…I lied. We are going to win the championship.”
