The Las Vegas Aces are all set to host Phoenix Mercury on Sunday, June 15th at the Michelob ULTRA Arena, Las Vegas. All eyes would be on A'ja Wilson, whether she starts against the Phoenix Mercury or not.

Will A'ja Wilson play against Phoenix Mercury?

The 28-year-old center will not be featuring for the Sunday's clash against the Phoenix Mercury as she sees her name on the team's injury report. The reason why she is missing the clash is concussion. She suffered her injury during the Aces' 97-89 loss to LA Sparks on Wednesday. She even missed the last match against the Dallas Wings.

This will mark her second game on the trot that she misses for the Aces as she is following the league's concussion protocols. She sustained her injury during the third quarter against the Sparks. Wilson was in the air to defend a drive towards the basket as she was hit in the face by Dearica Hamby. The center had to leave the court and was seen pulling a towel to her nose.

Las Vegas Aces head coach Becky Hammon gave an update on A'ja Wilson after the game. She even mentioned that the bleeding was from the head. After her evaluation, she entered the league's concussion protocol, due to which she missed the 88-84 win over the Wings.

According to ESPN, Wilson is yet to recover from her concussion and will miss Sunday's game. Her absence will be a huge blow for the Aces, who returned to winning ways after their victory over the Wings team.

In Phoenix Mercury, the Aces will find a tougher competition. In Wilson's absence, Jackie Young will likely start, while Elizabeth Kitley will replace her in the starting five.
