Damian Lillard sustaining an Achilles tendon during the playoff round 1 has come as a major headache for the Milwaukee Bucks. The injury has taken a toll on the entire roster. NBA analyst Shannon Sharpe has paid heed to the situation of the Bucks and explained with the help of example why no franchise would trade the Bucks for Lillard.

Shannon Sharpe's Brutal Analyses on Damian Lillard

The Bucks were seemingly already looking to trade the 13-year-veteran, but it will be a daunting task following the injury. Damian Lillard has had a difficult spell with the Bucks from the outset. In hindsight, one could say that Lillard should have never left the Portland Trail Blazers and won a title for the team that drafted him. However, the team wanted to go in a different direction and as it turned out, Lilliard's career has witnessed a downward trajectory.

The thought of Lillard playing alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo sold championship dreams to fans but in the end, the fans had to endure disappointment as they have suffered two first-round exits.

Trading Lillard seems like an impossibility considering his age, contract and injury status. Sharpe spoke about Milwaukee’s Lillard problem on the Nightcap podcast.

“How are you going to try to sell me a car with no motor in it?” Sharpe said.

Given his age and injury, Lillard simply may not have enough left in the tank to attract other teams, even if he recovers from his injury.

The Milwaukee Bucks had a decent regular season, finishing 5th on the Eastern Conference table. In the playoff round 1, they squared off against the Indiana Pacers. Barring Game 3, the Bucks suffered a defeat in all the other games and in the end were knocked out after five games.

The Bucks may undergo monumental changes during the offseason to come out strong next time.
