Skip Bayless Blames Luka Doncic for Lakers' Embarrassing Loss to Jazz, 'Luka is rubbing off on the Lakers'

The LA Lakers suffered an embarrassing loss to the Utah Jazz on Wednesday at the Delta Center. The Lakers' frailties in scoring from the distance were visible in the match and in the end, the 131-119 scoreline disseminated the lesson that the Lakers still exhibit some weaknesses that need to be addressed. Famed analyst Skip Bayless paid heed to the Lakers' loss and held the franchise's star new buy Luka Doncic responsible for the defeat.

Skip Bayless Blames Luka Doncic for Lakers' Embarrassing Loss to Utah Jazz

Troubled by the organizational issues throughout the season, the Lakers pulled off a trade that nobody saw coming. They shockingly brought in Luka Doncic from the Mavericks and left the whole world in a frenzy. The inclusion of Doncic has severely strengthened the Lakers in many ways. However, just in his second game in the Golden and Purple, the Slovenian has incurred a loss and moreover being called out for letting the team down.

Following the culmination of the Lakers vs Jazz game, Skip Bayless went to the X and mentioned that the star guard did not play defense even when the side was struggling at 12-40. Bayless called it an embarrassing loss for the Lakers and did not refrain from stating that the loss is on Luka Doncic.

"Looks like Luka is rubbing off on the Lakers, who played no defense at 12-40 Utah and gave up 131 in an embarrassing loss."

While Bayless criticized Doncic, it was a collective failure from the Lakers on the day. LeBron James also looked out of sorts in the game and could only secure 18 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds. Doncic on the other hand played for 23 minutes and scored 16 points, with four apiece assists and rebounds.
