This might be good news for the Golden State Warriors fans as superstar Stephen Curry is expected to be cleared for a return just ahead of the NBA Playoffs. The NBA icon has not played since January 30 due to patellofemoral pain syndrome, but is set to soon make his return.
Steph Curry can make his return for Warriors on THIS day
Stephen Curry is set to return to the lineup on Sunday against the Houston Rockets, ending a more than two-month absence due to a persistent right knee injury, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania and Anthony Slater.
The two-time MVP has missed 27 consecutive games with patellofemoral pain syndrome (commonly known as runner's knee) and associated bone bruising since late January. He has participated in two successful 5-on-5 scrimmages this week, and he is scheduled to practice with the team on Saturday before potentially taking the floor at home against the Rockets.
The Warriors have struggled mightily without their leader, posting a record of 36-41 and sitting 10th in the Western Conference. They are on track for the NBA Play-In Tournament, where Curry's return could provide a significant boost to their chances of advancing. In their most recent game, they were defeated by the Cleveland Cavaliers with a score of 118-111.
