During the franchise’s 137-14 loss to the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Monday, Edwards tossed his game-worn jersey to a young woman sitting behind him on the Wolves bench. It was a lifelong moment for the girl as she caught the jersey with a lot of emotion in her eyes, and she would never want to forget, unlike the results for her favourite team.

Edwards played 28 minutes after his return and recorded 15 points for the Western Conference team. Chris Finch’s side is in the conference right now as they have levelled their win-loss record to 4-4. They will next face the Utah Jazz, which will be part of the NBA Cup in-season tournament.

Meanwhile, ahead of the game against the Knicks, Edwards was finally listed as questionable for the matchup. The player has been recovering from a right hamstring which he sustained during a game against the Indiana Pacers on October 26. He injury ruled him out for four games in a row.

The shooting guard made his return to practice on November 3 and took part in a full shootaround ahead of the game at Madison Square Garden. The Timberwolves went 2-2 in his absence while Julius Randle, Donte DiVincenzo, and Jaden McDaniels took over the pressure of the team in the ongoing NBA 2025-26 season.
