The match between India A and Bangladesh A saw the Boys in Blue secure an impressive  51-run victory at the R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on Friday, July 22. In a match that saw the Yash Dhull-led India A booking a final date against arch-rivals Pakistan A, there was a moment of tension as two players almost clashed after a wicket was taken by one of the Indian bowlers.

Soumya Sarkar loses his cool


Young Indian spinner Yuvrajsinh Dodiya got the wicket of Bangladesh's batter Soumya Sarkar in the 26th over of the innings. Yuvraj's ball caught the outside edge of Sarkar's bat and then Nikin Jose took an excellent catch to send him back to the pavilion. While the Indian players started celebrating, Sarkar was in awe at his dismissal.

This led to a heated exchange between the players of both teams. Bowling all-rounder Harshit Rana was involved in a heated argument with Sarkar. Talking about the match, 19-year-old left-arm spinner Nishant Sindhu's economical fifer helped India A defend a total of 211 and beat Bangladesh A in the semi-final of Emerging Asia Cup 2023. Sent in to bowl first, India lost two wickets for 11 balls, and both Sharma (34) and Jose (17) departed.
