"It was really special for me. I was trying to play all my shots. I was trying to be fearless. I was sure of my decisions. I have been told by Surya bhai and VVS sir to go and play freely. I have been asked to express myself," said Jaiswal.

Acknowledging his earlier mistake of being run out in the first T20I, Jaiswal revealed that he apologized to Ruturaj Gaikwad, emphasizing his dedication to improving both fitness and mentality. Notably, Jaiswal established a new record by amassing the highest number of runs in the powerplay for India in T20 cricket.

"For me, what I think I can develop and not think about anything else. I am still learning. It was my mistake in the last game and said sorry to Ruturaj. Accepted was my mistake. Rutu bhai is so humble and very caring. I really worked on my fitness. I am trying to develop all my shots. The mental stuff is something I am working on. I believe in my practice sessions," Jaiswal added.

Jaiswal's impactful innings, complemented by half-centuries from Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan, propelled India to a formidable total of 235 for 4 in the first innings. In the bowling department, Ravi Bishnoi and Axar Patel emerged as standout performers, restricting the Australians to 191 for 9, sealing the victory by 44 runs.

With this triumph, India now set their sights on clinching the T20I series as they prepare to face Australia at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati on Tuesday, November 28.
