With a win over Australia in the second ODI in Visakhapatnam on Sunday, March 19, India can complete an improbable series double over the visitors, having already beaten them 2-1 in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test series.

In the absence of skipper Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya took India to a hard-fought five-wicket victory over the five-time ODI champions in the opening match in Mumbai. With the ball, it was the pace duo of Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj that decimated the Australian batters for 188 runs with their six wickets, before KL Rahul played an unbeaten fighting knock of 75 to take the side all the way.

With the threat of rain hitting Vizag, here's a weather report for the all-important 2nd ODI between India and Australia

But will the weather permit India to seal the series? Let's find out!

Weather Report: Visakhapatnam

While Mumbai experienced clear skies for the first ODI, things might be slightly different in the second match. The day is expected to start out on a sunny note, but as the hours progress, there is a high percentage of expected precipitation which might literally throw water on India's plans, according to AccuWeather.

5 PM is expected to have the highest precipitation level of 54% throughout the duration of the match, although this might just lead to a light drizzle and a mini suspension. All in all, the humidity is expected to be 81 percent and the dew point is predicted at 21 degrees Celsius. The air quality is also reportedly going to be excellent while the cloud cover is expected to be 76%.

There are chances of thunderstorms during the first innings as well.

Team news
As mentioned above, the return of the captain is sure to boost India's chance of a win. However, it might also mean drastic changes to their batting line-up, as Ishan Kishan opened alongside Shubman Gill in the first ODI.

With the ODI World Cup being hosted by India later this year, an in-form Rahul and a fully-fit Jadeja will be an asset, and the three-match series will help the selectors assess the duo's progress.

India would look to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series and also try to make amends with the bat, after they were in a spot of bother at 4/39, and later at 5/83 before Rahul and Jadeja came together at the crease to guide the hosts to victory with 61 balls to spare.
