India's Tokyo Olympics bronze medallist boxer Lovlina Borgohain has accused Boxing Federation of India (BGI) for mentally harassing her. In a tweet on July 25, Borgohain wrote that her coach Sandhya Gurung, who is also a Dronacharya awardee, has been denied entry into the village and it is hampering with her training process ahead of the games.

Today I say with great sadness that I am being harassed a lot. Every time my coaches who have helped me get medals in the Olympics have been removed because of which my training process ahead of the competition have been affected. One of these coaches, Sandhya Gurung has also received the Dronacharya Award.
Both my coaches have been denied entry into the camp despite requesting with folded hands a thousand times. Both are included after a long time. I have to face a lot of trouble in training because of this. Mentally, I will be in a lot of trouble. Right now, my coach Sandhya Gurung is outside Commonwealth village and she is not getting entry.
All this is being done exactly eight days before my training process games. My second coach has also been sent back to India. This has been done to me even after several requests. I am being harassed mentally. I don't know how to focus on the game. Because of this, my last World Championship was also affected. And because of this politics, now I do not want to spoil my chances at the CWG. I hope that I can break this politics and bring back a medal for my country. Jai Hind.

Borgohain will play her first match on July 30 in the 70kg category.
BFI sources have told Sports Tak that no specific strength and conditioning coach has gone for any athlete including World champion Nikhat Zareen.
'Lovlina's coach and also her strength and conditioning coach accompanied till training camp at Ireland," the source said.
Only eight support staff members have travelled with the entire contingent of 12 boxers. Originally, IOA said 33 per cent of playing contingent is allowed, including coaches.
