India's domestic Duleep Trophy is underway where young batter Musheer Khan scored 181 runs in his first outing for India B. That was the third-highest score registered by a teenager in Duleep Trophy debut. The 19-year-old has surpassed the legendary Sachin Tendulkar to take the third spot on the list. Tendulkar had scored 159 runs on his Duleep Trophy debut 33 years ago.
India's Under-19 World Cup 2022-winning captain, Yash Dhull, holds the second position on the list with a remarkable 193-run innings. The top spot is claimed by Baba Aparajith, who scored 212 runs on his debut in the first-class tournament.
According to the domestic structure, the players who played 41 or more Ranji Trophy caps receive Rs 60,000 per match day, while those with 21-40 appearances earn Rs 50,000 per match day. Players with 20 or fewer appearances are paid Rs 40,000 per match day. Therefore, the earnings for players participating in the Duleep Trophy will be determined by their number of Ranji Trophy appearances, following the same pay structure.
