Rohit Sharma's India win Vizag Test against England

India squared the series with England at 1-1 following a compelling 106-run victory in the second Test at Visakhapatnam on February 5, buoyed by Yashasvi Jaiswal's outstanding double century and Jasprit Bumrah's dominant nine-wicket match performance, which included a six-wicket haul in the first innings. This win was a crucial comeback for India, who had previously fallen in the first Test in Hyderabad by a margin of 29 runs.

Set a formidable target of 399 for victory, England approached the chase with determination, adopting their aggressive ‘Bazball’ strategy. Despite their valiant effort and rapid scoring, India's bowlers efficiently dismantled England's batting lineup. The visiting team, though spirited, was ultimately restricted to a total of 292. This match highlighted India's ability to bounce back and level the series, setting the stage for an intriguing continuation of the Test series.
