Former Pakistan cricketer Hasan Raza, who made a bizarre statement a few days ago when he claimed that Indian bowlers are using "different and suspicious balls" in the 2023 World Cup, has come with another sensational statement. After India's dominant win over South Africa on November 5 (Sunday), Raza accused the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) of tampering with the DRS with the support of the broadcaster.

"Aaj Jadeja ne 5 out kar diye, apne career-best ek inning mein. Hum technology ki baat kar rahe the jaha par DRS liya gaya. Van der Dussen main batter hai waha par. Left-arm spinner ka bowl jo hai vo spin ho ke kaise jaa sakta hai. Leg stump pe gira hua gend wapis middle mein kaise jaa sakta hai. Impact in line tha aur vo leg stump par jaa raha tha. Toh yahi jo cheeje hai sab apna apna opinion de rahe the (Today, Jadeja took five wickets, which is his career-best in a single inning. We were talking about technology where the Decision Review System (DRS) was used. Van der Dussen was the batsman at that time, and it's intriguing to see how a left-arm spinner's delivery can turn and find its way back to the middle from leg stump. The impact was in line, and it seemed like the ball was heading towards the leg stump. So, everyone was sharing their opinions on these matters)," Raza said on a local news channel in Pakistan.

"Main bhi yahi opinion de raha hoon ki in cheejon ko check kiya jaaye. (DRS) manipulate ho raha hai bilkul aur najar aa raha hai. Ye pehla DRS nahi hai, isse pehele bhi aap dekh lo DRS. Pichle 2-3 jo hai review. Fir vo Pakistan ki main baat karunga, dekh le kitna close tha vo South Africa ke against, last wicket ki partnership par aur vo bilkul bhi usko apologise nahi kiya gaya. Yahi cheeje hoti hai home conditions ke, home advantages...(I am also of the opinion that these things should be thoroughly examined because it appears that DRS is being manipulated. This isn't the first instance; if you look at previous DRS reviews, you will find similar cases. Furthermore, speaking about Pakistan, take a look at how close the review was in the match against South Africa, particularly during the last-wicket partnership, and no apology was offered for that. These are the kinds of things that happen in home conditions, which provide home advantages...)," he further added.

For his outlandish statement, Raza was brutally trolled and criticised by fans, who reacted angrily and hilariously to venom spewed by the former Pakistan cricketer.

A few days back when India thrashed England in Lucknow, Raza had expressed surprise at the amount of seam and swing that Indian bowlers, particularly Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj, were achieving. He even called for an "inspection" of the balls being used.

"We are seeing that when they are batting, they bat really well and suddenly the ball starts doing things when India bowl. There have been 7-8 close DRS calls that have gone in their favour," Raza was quoted as saying.

"The way Siraj and Shami were swinging the ball, it seemed like the ICC or the BCCI were giving them different and suspicious balls in the second innings. There needs to be an inspection done on the ball. There could also be an extra layer of coating on the ball for swing," he added.
