Babar Azam drops hint on big knock against India amid poor show, says 'You will see different version of me...'

Babar Azam is yet to play a big knock in the ongoing ODI World Cup as he could only notch scores of 5 and 10 in his opening two matches against Netherlands and Sri Lanka.

It will be a contest to watch out for when Babar Azam's brigade will be up against mighty Rohit Sharma's men at the iconic Narendra Modi stadium.

Both the teams are heading into this match with emphatic victories in their first two matches. While India defeated Australia and Afghanistan, Pakistan beat Netherlands and Sri Lanka in their opening matches.

 

All eyes will be on Babar, who is going through a rough patch and is desperate for a big knock in the ongoing ODI World Cup. Babar could only notch the scores of 5 and 10 against Netherlands and Sri Lanka respectively. 

 

In a pre-match press conference on Friday, October, Babar vowed to exhibit a different version of himself in the upcoming World Cup matches. 

 

"You will see different version of me against India & in upcoming matches" Babar said in a presser ahead of India vs Pakistan clash.

 

Notably, Babar hasn't scored even a half-century against India in the international cricket but he will look to bring his A game to the fore against arch-rivals India in Ahmedabad.

 

Babar also said that toss will play a vital factor in the game. "Whatever matches we have seen, toss is vital. There was dew under lights last night," Babar said.


Pakistan and India have played seven games in the ODI World Cup so far as Men in Blues have emerged victorious in all of them.

 

When asked about Pakistan's track record against India in the ODI World Cup, Babar said,"I don't focus on past results. I am only focusing on tomorrow's performance." 

 

On asked about the fans supporting Pakistan team Babar said," I hope there will be many supporters if Pakistan cricket team tomorrow, when we arrived here there were many".
