Earlier Michael Vaughan lambasted Mohammad Hafeez for calling Kohli ‘selfish’.Vaughan's tweet came in the backdrop of Kohli's historic 49th ODI century.

War of words has been brewing between former Pakistan skipper Mohammad Hafeez and England legend Michael Vaughan. It all started when Vaughan poked fun at Pakistan Cricket's administration and mismanagement of the national team.

Hafeez quickly responded by pointing out England Cricket's own struggles in this World Cup, as well as the controversy surrounding David Willey's early retirement. He also told Vaughan to focus on his own team's problems instead of getting involved in other people's affairs.

The war escalated when Hafeez called Vaughan a "fool" in one of his recent tweets. This was in response to a video that Vaughan shared of Hafeez being clean bowled by Virat Kohli.

Now Hafeez has clapped back at Vaughan's comment and indirectly called him a fool in his recent tweets.

Hafeez stated, “Talk sense to a fool and he calls u foolish….” on his official ‘X’ account.

Vaughan has a history of mocking other experts and teams, and he has been involved in Twitter wars with former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer in the past. However, Jaffer is known for his witty replies, while Hafeez tends to take things more seriously.

Meanwhile, there is a possibility to witness Pakistan versus India in the ODI World Cup 2023's semifinals if New Zealand loses their match against Sri Lanka. However, if New Zealand wins, then Pakistan will need to beat England by a big margin in order to secure a spot in the semis. New Zealand has a better net run rate than Pakistan, which means that they have a better chance of qualifying than Pakistan and Afghanistan. If New Zealand wins against Sri Lanka, then it will be virtually impossible for Pakistan and Afghanistan to overtake them.
