Former India captain Virat Kohli has started preparing for the upcoming ODI series against Australia, which is scheduled to start from October 19. Team India will play a three-match ODI series in Australia, and this will be Kohli's first international assignment after the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The 36-year-old travelled to London along with his family after finishing the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

Kohli's last cricketing outing came in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, where he continued his purple patch, scoring 657 runs in 15 outings as the Bengaluru-based franchise won their maiden title, defeating Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the final. The stylish batter made headlines during the IPL 2025 after he announced a sudden Test retirement on May 12 ahead of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025. Kohli's last Test outing came in Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, where he managed to score 190 runs in five Test matches, including an unbeaten ton in the opener clash.
Earlier, India ODI captain Rohit Sharma was also spotted sweating out in the gym alongside former BCCI assistant coach Abhishek Nayar.
