Legendary Indian batter Virat Kohli made tons of headlines on the opening day of the fourth Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test which is being played at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground, on December 26 (Thursday) after getting into a heated altercation with Australian debutant Sam Konstas. Later his message to Mohammed Siraj which was caught in stump mic after the pacer was seen exchanging words with Marnus Labuschagne went viral on social media.
Konstas gets into altercation with Kohli and Siraj
This all started when Konstas stepped out for the first time against Siraj but failed to make a connection, the Indian pacer was seen throwing a couple of words at the young debutant. Konstas later did the same thing and this time able to find a connection but could not score runs. Siraj was once again seen saying some words towards the youngsters while camera even showed Kohli giving a stare to him.

Konstas was not holding back in any manner, on the very next ball, he smashed a boundary and answered with both words and bat to Siraj. At the end of this over, Kohli and Konstats bumped into each other with clashing shoulders and were seen in an almost heated exchange with Usman Khawaja and umpires intervening before things could escalate further.
During the morning session's drinks break, Konstas discussed the incident and stated that while he would prefer to keep it on the field, he would not mind putting up a fierce fight against the Indian team.
"Whatever happens on the field stays on the field. I just love competing and it doesn't get any better for a debut than this packed stadium," Konstas said.
Virat caught on stump mic
Then in another episode that went viral on social media, Mohammed Siraj and Marnus Labuschagne were once again seen exchanging a couple of words with each other. This was followed by Virat telling Siraj 'Has ke baat nahi karna inse'. This advice from the Indian batter was caught on the stump mic. The video is now being shared rapidly on the internet.
