Story Highlights:

Ishan Kishan bowled the final over on Day 4 of the game.

Kishan bowled 5 consecutive dot balls to Somerset batter Tom Abell.

Kishan scored his 2nd consecutive fifty for Nottinghamshire in the ongoing County season.

Nottinghamshire captain Craig Overton handed the ball to his Indian recruit, wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan, as the game against Somerset at The Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton, headed to a draw. On last day of the game, Kishan got his wish to bowl and he tried bowling off-spin from over the wicket and leg-spin from around the wicket.

On the first delivery, Tom Kohler-Cadmore pushed the ball on back foot towards long-on and took a single. Before bowling to Tom Abell, he made slight changes to the field placement. Abell defended on the back foot as the ball skidded on a little. Kishan bowled a flighted delivery, slightly fuller and on the stumps. Abell went on the back foot and defended again. He followed it up with a quicker delivery, which was pushed by Abell towards the leg side.

Before bowling the fifth delivery, he switched to round the wicket. He turned to leg-spin and tried to bowl it into the rough. Abell defended it on the front foot. He finished his over with a flatter delivery way outside the off stump. Abell did not offer a shot and the match ended in a draw.

Kishan contributes with bat

Earlier, in reply to Somerset's 379, Nottinghamshire posted 509 on the board. Opener Ben Slater (124) and Jack Haynes (157) scored centuries whereas Kishan scored 77 runs from 128 deliveries, featuring eight fours and a couple of sixes. He shared a 148-run partnership with Haynes.

On his County debut against Yorkshire, he had scored 87 runs from 89 balls, including 12 fours and a six. He missed a chance to score a century on County debut as he lost his wicket to off-spinner Dom Bess.
