India's pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah lightened the mood during the post-match press conference after the Day 3's play of the third Test against Australia. When a journalist inquired about India's batting performance in the first innings, Bumrah, though not a specialist batter, came up with an epic response. The journalist recognising Bumrah's primary role as a bowler, playfully acknowledged that he might not be the most qualified person to comment on batting. And then came the best moment as Bumrah dropped an befitting reply to the journalist and told him to google his batting record.

After the Day 3's play, the reporter asked Bumrah:

"Hi, Jasprit. What is your assessment of the batting, although you are not the best person to answer the question, but what do you think about the situation of the team, considering the conditions in Gabba?"

Here's how Bumrah befittingly schooled Journalist with his response

"It's an interesting question. But, you are questioning my batting ability. You should use Google and see who has got the most number of runs in a Test over. But, jokes apart. That's another story."

Bumrah wanted journalist to remind about his memorable 34-run over against Stuart Broad in Birmingham during India versus England Test match in 2022. He had smashed the veteran England pacer for three boundaries and as many sixes in that over.

Talking about the ongoing third Test in Gabba, the Indian top order batter faced a different challenge on Monday, December 16 against the Australia pace trio of Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, and Pat Cummins. India ended the rain-affected day in Brisbane at a precarious 51/4, trailing Australia's first-innings total of 445.

Jasprit Bumrah once again became India's troubleshooter and displayed his bowling prowess. The Indian vice-captain displayed his pacer mastery with the ball by picking a six-wicket haul in the first innings of the Brisbane Test.

Bumrah kept giving India crucial breakthroughs despite Australia's stunning batting at Gabba. Bumrah even got the prized wickets of Travis Head and Steve Smith and also put a halt to the Australian duo's massive 241-run partnership. Both Australian batters scored centuries, propelling their team to a commanding total of 445.

Bumrah's dominance in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy continued, as he leads the wicket-taking charts with 18 wickets under his belt in just five innings.
