India captain Shubman Gill was absolute livid at Zak Crawley's time-wasting antics in the final moment of the Day 3 of Lord's Test as the duo engaged in a heated confrontation dramatic conclusion to the day's play.

With only five minutes of play remaining in the day, the England openers Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett appeared to deliberately waste time as they came out to bat, seemingly with the intention of facing only one over. This tactic visibly left India skipper agitated.

Zak Crawley's time-wasting antics draws Shubman Gill's wrath

Gill took the lead in expressing this frustration, even making a hand gesture directed towards the openers. This occurred after India had been bowled out for 387 runs in their first innings, precisely the same score that England had previously achieved. The English team seemed reluctant to play more than a single over before the day's end.

During the over bowled by Jasprit Bumrah, Crawley repeatedly moved down the pitch, further delaying the proceedings. This prompted Shubman Gill to walk over to Crawley and make a hand gesture to clearly convey his anger and disapproval of the time-wasting tactics.

Visibly frustrated with Crawley's drama, Gill was heard saying, "Grow some f****** b****," as considerable time was being taken despite only two balls having been bowled in the over.

The verbal exchange between Gill and Crawley then continued, culminating in a tense stare-off between the two cricketers.

At the end of the day's play, England had reached a score of two runs without losing any wickets, following their dismissal of India for 387 runs in the first innings. This occurred on what was an eventful third day of the third Test match at Lord's on Saturday. At stumps, Zak Crawley was unbeaten on 2 runs, while Ben Duckett was yet to score.

Earlier in the day, a fluent century by Indian opener KL Rahul, supported by useful half-centuries from Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja, helped India match England's first-innings total. Rahul was the highest scorer for the visitors, reaching 100 runs off 177 balls. This century made him only the second Indian batsman, after Dilip Vengsarkar, to score more than one hundred at the historic Lord's venue. Pant contributed a quick 74 runs from 112 deliveries before being run out by Ben Stokes while attempting a risky single. This ended a crucial fourth-wicket partnership of 141 runs with Rahul just before the lunch break. Jadeja also played a valuable innings, scoring 72 runs off 131 balls.
