India take on England as Ben Stokes won the toss and elected to bat first in the third Test at the iconic Lord's stadium on July 10, Thursday.

What did the captains say after the toss?
After winning the toss, England captain Ben Stokes said:
"We are going to have a bat. Surface there is something here early on generally. It is good, well fought series and we are up for this game. The body is good. Quick turnaround, we are fresh and ready to go. Everyone likes playing at Lord's and you have to enjoy it. Just one change."
Meanwhile, India skipper Shubman Gill, after losing the toss, said:
"I was confused what to do till this morning. I would have bowled first. There would be something for the bowlers in the first session. Everyone chipped in and that's what the discussion was about. The bowlers are feeling confident, wasn't easy to pick 20 wickets on that (Edgbaston) wicket. I am feeling great, as a batter you expect to be in the middle of the situation and batting. We have one change - Bumrah for Prasidh."
India's Playing XI:
Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Karun Nair, Shubman Gill(c), Rishabh Pant(w), Nitish Kumar Reddy, Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, Akash Deep, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj
England's Playing XI:

Pitch Report
"If you look at this, it looks like a lively bit of grass. There is a little bit of moisture. There would be something for the seamers, if not from the grass, then from the slope. But also looks like a good pitch to bat on, especially after the first session. This is a more bowling-friendly pitch than the last two, so if England chose to bowl first on those two pitches, they may do so here too. Spinners may come into it with cracks opening up, but the slope could help them," Deep Dasgupta analysed the pitch.
Head-to-Head Record
India and England have so far played 19 matches at the iconic Lord's stadium since their first meeting in 1932. While, Team India has only managed to secure win on three occasions, four matches have concluded in a draw, while England have won the remaining twelve ties
