India will head into their series-deciding third ODI against England without their star pacer Jasprit Bumrah after he was ruled out of this game owing to back spasms. He will be replaced by Mohammed Siraj in the side, while England have decided to field their same playing XI for a third straight match, having tasted success in the last ODI with a 100-run victory. Meanwhile, the toss was won by India, who will field first.
Arshdeep Singh was not considered for selection as he is yet to fully recover from a right abdominal strain.
Ahead of the crucial ODI, skipper Rohit Sharma shared his thoughts on the pitch and their chances in the game, "Nice and hard track, looks like it won't change over 100 overs. Nice to have a score in front of us. We didn't play well enough in that last game but hopefully, we've got our learnings. The bowlers have come out with great guns, so hopefully, restrict them to a reasonable target."
For the Englishmen, coach Matthew Mott and skipper Jos Buttler have gone into the game with the same team that beat India in the second ODI. While the bowlers were highly impressive, the newly appointed skipper will expect to see a better performance from the bowlers in the team.
"Looks a good wicket, a bit cloudy, a bit muggy, might swing early. Going to be a fantastic crowd, lots of positives from the last game, scrapped well with the bat and the bowling was outstanding," Buttler said ahead of the game.
