India won the first T20I by 61 runs.

India take on South Africa as Aiden Markram won the toss and elected to bowl first in the second T20I at the St. George's Park on November 10. However, there was a slight drizzle around the toss, but the match is good to go after the passing shower. South Africa made one change in their playing XI for the must-win clash against India as Kruger sits out to accommodate space for Reeza Hendricks. Meanwhile, India didn't tinker with their playing XI and played the same team which they fielded in the first match. Talking about the series opener, India rode Sanju Samson's blistering century to win the first T20I by 61 runs.

What did the captains say?

India skipper Suryakumar Yadav, after losing the toss, said:

"We wanted to bat first and play same brand of cricket, happy with the things in the last match. You always learn something or the other in every game. We want to continue the good habits. No changes, playing with the same XI."

Meanwhile, South Africa captain Aiden Markram, after winning the toss, said:

"We are going to bowl first again. With rain around, that's the obvious part. Hope the bowlers use the moisture. Kruger is out, Hendricks is in. We are not concerned about the outcome or result."

Pitch Report

"Overcast, stiff breeze, some possibility of rain. There is more grass than usual but it is hard and firm. It looks good to the eye. There will be some early seam movement. Seamers will be encouraged to bowl on this surface. You would want to bowl first on this surface," Shaun Pollock and Ashwell Prince analysed the pitch.
