Suryakumar Yadav has expressed immense confidence in Riyan Parag, explaining the rationale behind his selection for the Sri Lanka T20I series. The Indian captain believes Parag possesses an X-factor that can make a significant impact on the team.
“Ryan Parag has a certain X-factor,” Suryakumar said, as quoted by Cricketaddictor.
Suryakumar Yadav also discussed his bond with head coach Gautam Gambhir, stating that they share a special relationship and understand each other's body language very well. He elaborated:
"I have always have had a special bond with Gautam Gambhir, since 2014. We understand each other's body language," Suryakumar added.
Suryakumar Yadav and Gautam Gambhir, both will be looking to kick off their stint on a high note in the upcoming white-ball series against Sri Lanka. The duo has a strong rapport, having previously played together for the Kolkata Knight Riders, where Gambhir was the captain and Suryakumar served as vice-captain.
