IPL 2024 Auction: RCB grab eyeballs after spending 11.50 cr on West Indies' star; here's Bangalore's squad after bidding war

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), despite their three appearances in the IPL finals, have not yet secured the title. Heading into the IPL 2024 auction on December 19 in Dubai, the team, now captained by Faf du Plessis, is focused on addressing previous shortcomings and constructing a team capable of winning the championship. RCB have retained key players like Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, and Glenn Maxwell. However, the release of significant players such as Harshal Patel and Wanindu Hasaranga has created vacancies in the lineup.

Meanwhile, in an unexpected windfall Alzarri Joseph lured RCB as he fetched an enormous sum of Rs 11.50 crore in the IPL 2024 auction. Joseph, who came in with a base price of Rs 1 crore, moved from Gujarat Titans to RCB. Later, former Gujarat Titans' bowler Yash Dayal struck a massive deal of Rs 5 crore with RCB.
