CSK dropped to fifth spot in IPL 2024's points table after defeat vs LSG.

CSK went down to LSG by six wickets in their IPL 2024 encounter on April 23.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have climbed into the top four of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024's points table after securing their fifth victory of the season, defeating the reigning champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by six wickets in Chennai on April 23. LSG now hold the fourth position, having won five out of their eight matches. On the other hand, CSK have slipped to the fifth spot with four wins from the same number of games.

LSG are now on par with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in terms of points, with KKR and SRH occupying the second and third positions, respectively. SRH recently triumphed over the Delhi Capitals (DC) by a substantial margin of 67 runs on April 20. DC, having managed only three wins from eight matches, is currently eighth in the standings and will face the Shubman Gill-led Gujarat Titans (GT) next on April 24 in Delhi.

GT are struggling in sixth place, with four wins from eight matches, having narrowly beaten the Punjab Kings (PBKS) by three wickets on April 21. PBKS finds itself near the bottom in ninth place with just two victories from eight matches.

Meanwhile, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) maintain their lead at the top with seven wins from eight matches, recently defeating the Mumbai Indians (MI) by nine wickets in Jaipur on April 22. The Hardik Pandya-led MI is languishing in seventh place, with three wins from eight matches.

However, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) find themselves at the bottom of the table, with only one win from eight matches and a six-game losing streak, putting their playoff hopes in jeopardy.
