Delhi Capitals' (DC) seasoned fast bowler Ishant Sharma delivered the 'ball of the tournament' to dismiss explosive Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter Andre Russell. The magic delivery from Ishant Sharma came during the 16th match of the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) held at Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on April 3 (Wednesday). The moment transpired on the first ball of the 20th over during KKR's innings.

With Andre Russell determined to propel KKR to the highest-ever total in the cash-rich tournament's history, all the pressure was on Ishant Sharma. The lanky fast bowler charged in with intent and unleashed a pin-point yorker that dropped Russell on the pitch as the ball shattered the stumps.
