Gill while replying to Bhogle said GT don't think like that.

Gujarat Titans (GT) secured a much-needed win in the IPL 2024 season, edging out Rajasthan Royals by three wickets in a nail-biting encounter on Wednesday, April 10, in Jaipur. Set a target of 197 runs, Shubman Gill's GT chased it down with one ball to spare, reaching a final score of 199/7.

Rashid Khan emerged as the hero for Gujarat, smashing a crucial four off the last ball to seal the victory. His unbeaten knock of 24 runs proved decisive. Shubman Gill also played a vital role at the top of the order, contributing a well-made 72 runs off just 44 balls. Despite a valiant effort, the Rajasthan Royals bowling attack fell short. While Kuldeep Sen impressed with three wickets, and Yuzvendra Chahal picked up two dismissals, it wasn't enough to stop the determined chase from the Titans.

Shubman Gill's leadership seems to be paying off for the Gujarat Titans. After their win against Rajasthan Royals, Gill expressed his pride in his team's performance, especially considering he took on the captaincy after Hardik Pandya's surprise move back to Mumbai Indians last year. However, the post-match ceremony wasn't all smooth sailing for Gill. A question from broadcaster Harsha Bhogle apparently left him feeling irritated.

During the post match presentation Harsha Bhogle asked Gill:

“Well done you got two points today. But one i must admit some of us thought you left it too late but well done today.”

Gill, who looked little pissed with the question bluntly replied without losing his smile:

"Thank you, when GT is playing don't think like that".

Shubman Gill's fiery response to Harsha Bhogle's question during the post-match presentation left the commentator speechless. This came after a thrilling chase by the Gujarat Titans, who secured victory on the last ball.

How the match unfolded?

GT needed 197 runs for their third win of the IPL season. Shubman Gill got them off to a strong start with a quickfire 72 runs off just 44 balls. However, when he was dismissed, the equation became challenging - 75 runs were still needed in just 5 overs.

This is where the lower middle order of the Titans stepped up. Shahrukh Khan (14 runs off 8 balls) provided a quick burst, followed by crucial contributions from Rahul Tewatia (22 runs off 11 balls) and Rashid Khan (unbeaten 24 runs off 11 balls). Their aggressive batting against the Rajasthan Royals bowlers sealed a thrilling last-over victory for Gujarat. Earlier, Rajasthan Royals had set a competitive total of 196 runs on the board. Riyan Parag (76 runs off 38 deliveries) and Sanju Samson (68 not out off 38 deliveries) were the architects of their innings, scoring vital half-centuries.
